What variety?

Post by Herb »

I got this this afternoon in exchange for a pot of Japanese Anemones.

Can anybody identify it? How tall does it grow? Does it run or clump?

Looks kinda like ribbon grass to me. But it's hard to tell by that pic. If it's ribbon grass make sure to plant it somehwere you don't care because it takes off like fire!

Or it could be cabrae (spelt wrong hehe) and if thats the case it's a great grass! At least here in zone 5 it is.

Thanks for the warnings. I've put it in a bigger pot & am going to wait and see.

My guess was bamboo... but in any case, growing in a container is probably the best plan to avoid possible invasiveness.
