Went to a big box store and got a pretty good sized pond on clearence (discontinued)!!
Price was knocked down a couple hundred dollars
It's called the Island pond, holds 175 gal of water.
I'm so excited, I've been looking into ponds the last several weeks.
Can't wait to get it in the ground!
I've heard different stories about which is better to use, the flexible or the preformed ones. Well this one is the preformed kind. I think it will be a bear to put in but I CAN do it
Gotta pond!!

Preformed are harder to install, they need to be perfectly level, you need to lay it on sand too so it beds down propperly with no gaps underneath it.
but as Josh says, one of them or no pond! easy choice.
congrates on your first pond, may it bring you joy

What goes around, comes around!
So am I coming or going ?

Yea I know all the good and bad things about them, but I can and will do it, with the help of a couple of friends who just put in the same pond
But a water feature is a water feature
And I also have to think about the 2 dogs, who I'm sure will want to try out the water!! I though maybe the preformed liner would hold out better than a flex one.

So????? Is it in yet! Would love to have one, but not the work going into to keeping it up. Plus I think mine would be taken over by toads and other slithery little friends

Nope not yet. Planning on putting it in this week. I have to work today but then I'm off for a week. I'll post pictures.
I like the thoughts of all those slithery creatures in it. Hope to get toads and some snakes and all the other critters that come with it.
Good for bugs ya know
