Oh, they are all beauties! I know what you mean. I can't resist a pretty heuchera.

Nice! I love these too! Might have to start looking for Geisha's Fan. I have Caramel already, and have a number of them similar to the Midnight Rose...but I do tend to lose the names of my heuchs.

I got addicted to heucheras the year after hostas.... All of the colors you can't find in hostas - you can in heucheras, so I think they compliment each other very nicely.
Midnight Rose looks similar to several I have too - but there are a lot that are similar. I just moved my Geisha's fan from the holding bed to a garden I've been reworking on Friday. Caramel is on my 'to do' list.

My immediate reaction when I saw Caramel as Alexa pointed it out was, "Eh...yawn...big deal (not)."
I mean really, a heuchera is a heuchera. But I liked the pic of Midnight Rose so much that I went online last night to hunt down a source....five minutes later, I'd started a heuchera wish list. It's quite short (so far):
Mardi Gras
Midnight Rose
Peach Flambe
Sashay
Something tells me this is only the beginning

Time to come clean. Last night, I did just a bit more online searching. My heuchera wish list seems to have expanded a tad:
Beauty Color, Chinook, Citronelle, Creme Brulee, Cultus Bay Beauty, Hercules, Hollywood, Key Lime Pie, Mardi Gras, Midnight Rose, Peach Flambe, Peachy Keen, Persian Carpet, Pink Marble, Prince Of Orange, Ruffles, Sashay, Venus (??? -- can't read my own horrid handwriting!)
Wow. Am I a plant addict or what! I'm pretty sure many of those heuchs are to be found only in Europe at this point. Probably a good thing, too.
Tigger! Alexa and I have been talking about a road trip to RareFind. My preference is for going some time fairly soon, and during the week if possible. (Fewer people then?) I want to go down to Bridgeton, NJ, at the end of the month for Woodside Nursery's open house; then I have the Nat'l. Daylily Convention in the middle of July. When are you planning to go?

Of those 18 - I have only heard of 1/2 of them. And I only have 3. You definitely need Beauty of Color!! Mine is still in a holding bed, but it has amazing coloring this year. And the perfect heuchera to set off those gorgeous colors is Obsidian. Almost black - unless you see it in certain light you think it is. They were planted together in the holding bed by chance. But they're going in tandem when I find a spot for them. I'm thinking in front of a bright yellow hosta like Jimmy Crack Corn - no maybe Fire Island to play up on the reds in both. Of course that would require me buying a Fire Island....... But that was a foregone conclusion anyway.
I got the Midnight Rose from the vendor at the convention that is from NH. I would have to go outside to check the label, but he was in the vendor room closest to the leaf show room, first on the left. Does that help jog anyones memory?

I was at a local nursery last week and saw "sashay" for the first time.......50% off....could not pass that up!!! So I think I paid only like $4.00 for it!
It really caught my eye with the ruffly green leaves, and the pink underneath! Probably should have gotten more than one for that price......maybe I will go back and see if there are anymore left!

Alexa how is your Carmel doing? Mine is in morning sun only and not really doing anything. No colors to speak of, just a kind of bland beige with pink on the backs. I am beginning to think it is not Carmel, even though that is what the tag said it was... we all know how accurate that is If yours is in more sun and looks good, I may move mine. Let me know
