'White Triumphator'
Viktoria, that's a TULIP!

I got White Triumphator last year. The friend who was with me couldn't understand why I would buy 'another plain green'. I saw Viktoria's pic in the Hosta Library and put it on my list.

The info at that link is partly incorrect (first part). This is a gray-green plant and the flowers are not fragrant. It is nothing like S&S.
PP12622, assigned to Gerardus Heemskerk.
New and very large light gold. Much like 'Sum & Substance except very fragrant flowers. Ht: 75cm (30") SR Dia: 120cm (48").
Piet Oudolf introduction; selection of rectifolia with very tall scapes of pure white flowers.
An introduction from famous garden designer and nurseryman Piet Oudolf of Holland, this H. rectifolia hybrid has frosty green leaves of good substance that form an upright clump. Topped with stunning white flowers on very tall scapes. Not a fast grower but fantastic when mature.

Many a great tune has been played on an older fiddle.
I love the vase shaped ones too. To that end, I just ordered "Unforgettable" from Chris...
Hosta 'Unforgettable'
(ML) Rounded leaves are lightly shiny, moderately corrugated, medium to dark green with a slightly wavy, golden yellow margin. It has heavy substance and a semi-upright, vase shaped habit.

Thanks, Viktoria. I meant to add on to my post that I was wondering why it is described as gold and like S&S. Mine is gray-green as well, and the leaves are not rounded. I hope the part about the fragrant flowers is true! Mine had already bloomed when I got it last year, so I'll have to wait and see.

Re: ‘White Triumphator’
OK, no one believed me. Far more frequently seen than the Hosta which pilfered the name:
Features of Species or Group: These tulips are centuries old. The pure white ‘White Triumphator’ is a superb garden plant. Tall-stemmed, it is excellent for formal bedding, but also for natural perennial borders. ...
Apparently, someone thought the flower looked like the tulip's flower.
