The first picture shows two seedlings from a 'Swoosh' x tsushimensis 'Ogon' cross. The one on the left has shown more streaking, while the right one barely any.
The second picture shows the current state of three 'Christmas Tree Gala' x 'Donahue Piecrust' seedlings.
The third picture shows a six pak of high hopes. (Reminds me of a song, I think.) Can you imagine a yellow 'Reptillian', complete with ruffles and ridges? The cross is 'Reptillian' x 'Designer Genes'.

2 months?
The 2 months was from planting. Subtract 10-14 or so days for germination, and that's how old they really are. Two months from now I hope some of these will be moving outdoors. I'll keep a photo record of those that continue to look promising.

Thanks for sharing those, George. They look great! I, too, would like to keep track of their progress, especially the latter two. I have CTG and Donahue's Piecrust x OP just starting to sprout.
I have a question for all you experienced seed-starters...do hosta seeds germinate quicker the closer to spring it is? The reason I ask is that I started some seeds late January (7 different varieties) and they took at least 18 days before I saw the first sprout, and the ones I started 1st of last week are sprouted all ready - only about 7-8 days (12 different varieties). I know onions and potatoes will start sprouting quicker this time of year....just curious if anyone else has had this experience?

Seed sprouting
Charla, I don't believe it makes any difference. Some people germinate them in the fall right after picking them.
I think you'll find that something is different now. The temperature, for instance, is probably higher, or the soil moisture is different.
