Hi, Andrea

I was looking over your list to see which of the big guys you have, after you dicovered we have a love of Jade Cascade in common. This is the most exquisite hosta and King Michael is nothing to scoff at, either!

You have quite a few that I have. I do have fluctuans and Green Acres, and I can't remember if you have Dragon Wings.

Also, I have some hosta seedlings from Empress Wu and Amos, the most gigantic hosta I've seen. They are only in their second year but are already showing signs of hugeness!! lol!

Luckily I have room for expansion or I would be in trouble.

And I adore my minis, and make little container gardens with them, to frame them and bring them to everyone's attention!

I do have some of the hosta on your wish list- are you sure the list is current or are you getting some of them this year? I guess I could go look at your Foxfire order, for a partial answer! I can trade with individuals.

I appreciate all the work you've done already!
Before I just go an buy any new hosta, I wanted to make sure that it's something that will be great, not just look good in the pictures. Now I have some work to do to look at these.
'Jade Cascade'- is for sale by a hosta place in NH. I've heard a lot of good things about them and like the look of it in the photos but it's always difficult to tell what will eventually grow well.
I have a gold standard that's still a baby and doing okay but I can move it to a place where it will get more sun.

Totally my pleasure! I got hooked on Jade Cascade when I went to a nursery here in Brazil, IN that is also an AHS display garden (Whitmore's Dogwood Farms).

He has Jade Cascades that are 8' across - no joke! I almost screamed when I walked around the corner and saw them! He has the largest specimens of hosta I have seen, to date - just unreal!

He also had mature 'Flower Power' hosta that were just to die for. I was immediately hooked on "just the plain green ones" when I saw those two. Giant flowing fountains of green...just incredible!

Have fun collecting - it's such a hoot! This year I've removed several from my gardens that I'm not in love with to make room for those that I really, really want. I am much more selective but when I finally hunt down the ones I"m looking for, it's great!
