Curtains of Color - 'Piedmont Gold'

Post by wzbt03 »

Sometimes you get the effect you were after and sometimes you don't.

In this case it is working out as anticipated.

A nice yellow 'Piedmont Gold' behind a curtain of Blue Dune Lyme Grass.

The color difference seems to draw you into the PG.

Don't worry, eventually it will spread by underground runners all the way to your house! Seriously, The combo does look great! It's easily one of the bluest grasses aside from Elijah Blue Fescue. Thanks for the pic!

I love that color combination! It's so pretty!

I have a blue grass that I got from PeggyB. I wonder if it is the same one. I have forgotten the name and don't know if I wrote it down. Mine is in a pot sunken in the ground. I might have to dig it up and divide it so I can put some with a yellow hosta. :D

Invasive

Post by wzbt03 »

As already indicated, Blue Dune Lyme Grass, while very nice, is very invasive. I pull out quite a bit of it every year but I seem to be able to keep it in check.

One thing I do keep telling myself, if it invasive, stay away from it.
However I never listen.
