Thanks Elizabeth,

Yes Ribbon Dance won the top award at First Look this year for best seedling as determined by the AHS Judges. It was a close call with a beautiful Red petioled vase shaped seedling from Alttar that almost beat Ribbon Dancer out.

Here's a new picture of Ribbon Dancer.

Oh to answer your question Elizabeth...Ribbon Dancer we be TCed by Walter's so it will be a few years before it's on the market.

Thanks for the interest!

Oh, Kent, I AM SO PLEASED you won! Ribbon Dancer took Atom Smasher’s place at the top of my LUST LIST the first time you showed it to us!!! Absolutely stunning and so glad to see your hard work rewarded. And ecstatic that this one wasn’t involved in the son+dog incident...whew! I was afraid to even ask about it afterwards.

Oh, no...we have to wait YEARS? Bummer...oh well, will give me time to save up - this one is a GOTTA have!

You did keep a piece of this one, didn’t you? Please say yes so I can sleep at night...

Kent, it's only got better looking from the first time I saw it. Glad you found something to take to First Look. And, I look forward to adding it to my collection in a few years!

A look in hostas that's new to me. I've seen only a few semi-like it -- and I love them. I will definitely be getting that one when it's available. Congratulations on your win. I've no idea what your competition was like, but it must have been intense. Which means your seedling must be quite extraordinary!

I love it! Nice graceful arch to each leaf, and very wavy.

Congratulations!!

I love the name! It suits the form of the plant so perfectly...did you come up w/ that name in a flash of inspiration, or was the name in your brain all along from some other connection?

Thank you all :D

I can't take credit for the name, it was given to me by Sharon Knight, I think she hit the nail right on the head with that one.
