Hi All--Rising Sun has shown good steady growth since I bought it in May of 2002. By the end of June of that year it's size was 18x8. Since then its measurements have been 19x7, 29x11, 36x17, 42x23 and 49x24. The registration size is 34x18. Growing in a location that gets a few hours of afternoon sun, it has become a glowing bright spot. None of the hostas in this part of the garden have much slug damage, thanks to Deadline MP.
How many hours of afternoon sun do you think this one can take? I have it and am considering putting it in a sunnier spot that would be the hot afternoon sun.

Hi--I don't have any information to give an answer. My plant is located in a spot that gets sun from about 1:00 or 2:00 until maybe 5:00 or so, depending on the time of the year.

Thanks for sharing, Hank. Glad to know about this one, as I have a bed that gets about 4 hours of afternoon sun, and even though I have golds/yellows in it, it may still be too much sun. I am going to try more water and also a "Rising Sun."
