This is a hosta I had trouble growing . I bought it as a TC and this is its third summer. Finally I think its starting to show some life!

St Elmo's Fire
What a beauty! This colour combination: gold plus white, yum! is one I particularly covet.
Slow and steady wins the race with hostas, you know - those tricky low-chlorophyll ones are particularly worth the wait. Yours has done very well, 't seems.

Rumor has it that this is one that hates to be disturbed.
However, the local gardens split up their mature specimen and sold them and the two very nice divisions I got are growing like crazy.

Re: St Elmo's Fire
I always thought Saint Elmo's Fire was a bright yellow until I noticed it in my photo today. This plant has been in this garden since 2010 and I usually see it as a yellow similar to Moonlight.
That's Sarah Jane up front which I thought was similar. The database write-up says it goes darker green later in the year.
Here another one in a different part of the garden. This is the best it's ever looked.
