I am somewhat surprised that no one has posted this picture today.

Hmmm....I think mine is different. I don't see any speckling on your margins...or is it just hard to see in the pic? :???:

I always thought it was a lousy example of one but it was the only timely one I had.
I would like to see yours with speckles though.

Here's my Independance. Maybe yours is Independance Day and somewhere along the line the Day got left off the tag.

Thanks

thanks Debbie for the thought but mine has some leaves that look like they are suppose to, just has more that don't.

I am quite guilty of buying a hosta and burying away somewhere and only checking on it when I have a reason. This is one of those and it is not a spectacular plant.
However when the forum reminded me to check my Ultramarine - it is looking fantastic.

Independence today with flowers - this is in my previous "New Garden" from a few years ago where a captured skunk had torn up my lawn - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=60475. I may just call this my "Skunk Garden" because it wouldn't be here without the skunk.
I caught another skunk today and it tore up the ground under the cage but the spot is behind a bush so no damage was done. I was trying to catch a ground hog and I put the cage in front of the hole. The skunk used the hole and blundered into the trap. (I'm assuming the skunk is not digging under the fence.) I thought I had read somewhere if you say "Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty" and "Nice Kitty, Kitty, Kitty" the skunk won't spray. I tried it - I did have a tarp between me and the skunk - it turned around and looked at me when I talked to it. I was able to get the trap open without it spraying. It went back under the fence and I put the trap on top of the hole - I would rather block it than catch it.
