Hi All--Lady Isobel Barnett, a sport of Sum and Substance, is one of the better varieties that we got in 2002. Besides an impressive growth rate, it's attractive foliage holds in our garden to as late as November, making it one of the very few hostas to last that late into the season. Growing in a spot that gets and hour or so of direct light, LIB went from 19x11 in 2002 to 39x14, 50x17, 54x22, 61x26 and 80x26 this year. That puts it well past Lemke's listing of 60x30. I almost hope it stops growing because I don't relish the idea of trying to relocate LIB to a roomier spot. On top of everything else, this variety has shown good slug resistance.

This is one of my favorites Hank!
I have one that is going on its third year and getting huge.
I may have to re-evaluate the location I have it.

Here is mine in 2012. I have had it for a couple years but it is "small" - only a few leaves.
Mine has a thin gold edge. 'Lady Isobel Barnett' was mentioned in a discussion of Sum and Substance sports that have a gold edge - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55838

Some photos of Lady Isobel Barnett from the 2013 and 2014 season.
I don't have any "clean" pictures of the plant. It's in a pot among a bunch of other pots.

I put a Lady Isobel Barnett into my Mail Box garden a couple of years ago.
The plant was "leaned-on" by daffodils early in the season so it didn't spread-out properly. With flowers that might be a little early this season:
