Pic of the Day--Jimmy Crack Corn

Post by Hank Zumach »

Hi All--Jimmy Crack Corn has been a very welcome addition to a full shade area of the garden. Since being planted there in 2002, JCC has provided a nice splash of bright yellow color. I have heard that it is even brighter in more sun. It's measurements have been 18x5, 22x8, 25x11, 40x14, 46x13, and 48x19. Lemke's Data Base lists the registration size as 44x24 for a mature plant. Like most hosta varieties, JCC benefits from slug protection.

Spider--That would be the POTD from the day before Jimmy Crack Corn, Minuteman. Almost all of the POTDs are done in the order that they appear in our garden as a person would walk around the beds.
