Hi All--Sometimes its hard for me to think of something to write about a variety. Today's plant, Bitsy Gold, is like that. Its just that after I say that it is "bitsy" and "gold" there is not much left to say. The plant does remind me of a very small, gold lancifolia. I got it as a gift in 2002 and have it planted in a spot that gets up to about 2 hours of sun. I guess we can say it has an impressive growth rate because it more than tripled its size by its fourth year. Starting in 2002, it measured 4x1, 6x2, 9x4, 13x5, 13x4 and 16x6. That is in line with Lemke's listing of the registration size of 12x4. Unfortunately, this little thing is not bitsy enough to hide from the critters that dine on hostas without good substance. The pix are from 2002, 2004, and 2007.
