Emile and Jane Deckert are the ones who discovered Royal Mouse Ears...it's their introduction to the hosta world. They are the ones that are donating the plant to the auction.
BTW, of all the pics I have seen of it, they all look magnificent. What a beauty! It is definitely on my wish list!!!!! But they noted in the auction that it may be a few years before it is publicly available.

I'm sure it will be a wonderful plant. Of the few originators stock plants I have purchased, the Deckert's are the only people I have ever received a laminated card along with the purchase, stating a plants authentisity. I think they are pretty serious about the intros they have made. I also think the plant in the auction will go over seas, and could be into TC Asap. Atleast in Europe.

Keep wishing LG. It may come true. I was out working in one of my nursery beds last year and in a row of Blue Mouse Ears, there was a beautiful streaked Mouse. I was so excited! I came in to see if there was anything named yet and that's when I found out about Royal Mouse Ears. I guess I was too late to name it, but it sure looks like the same plant. I can't wait to see it this year!
