This is a sport of Willy Nilly that I split hoping to increase it. What do you all think of the name 'Wonky Willy'?

Truth? I don't care for it much. My mind goes directly to Willy Wonka

I would try to use a name with an opposite or same meaning but put together strange
"Here and There"
"Every Which Way"
"Will I Nill I"

I like the hosta though. Huge leaves

Hi,

I never really understood the name Willy Nilly - I don't think it fits that particular hosta. So I would probably go in a completely different direction with this plant.

It is beautiful by the way, so needs a beautiful name to go with it.

We've already got Willy Nilly and Slick Willy,.. though I like Willy Evergrow, it wouldn't sell!

I like Chris idea of going somewhere completely different with this...

or...
Willy Wonka might work... or Everlasting Gobstopper... or Oompah-Loompah might be my favorite.

You could use the "Will" part rather than "Willy" to keep some alignment to the original.

hmmm...

I like the idea of going elsewhere with this.

The hosta is really big. While I was standing there looking at it, I felt like I could just lean on it for support (it was a lot of work digging it up and splitting it to replant it!) I like the name Lean On Me. The song isn't a bad one either.

I like that name better too and hope that it multiplies great for you.

Personally I try to wait until a new plant grows a couple years or so before giving it a name because I've lost a couple younger ones that really showed promise.

By not naming them early I don't have quite the same attachment I guess..

I'm with Chris on naming them too early... apply the same rule to kittens, puppies, and children... you can get so attached if you name them...
