Chris
I was just trying to add some pictures to this thread...
Looking at your catalog, there is one plant i really like a lot and that seems not to be widely available in the USA, a J. Schwarz introduction 'Royal Tapestry'
How about 'Wheee!' (yes, that's a valid name) This is a crazy trash-heap rescue by Bill Meyer (he doesn't know for sure from what it sported). It won the best sport competition at First Look 2006 and is now in production. We're have a few for sale at our upcoming Delaware Valley Hosta Society meeting (along with 'Luna Moth' and 'Bobcat', two of Bill's other discoveries). Certainly distinctive when it comes up, it's still distinctive as the leaves open.
Bill had 'Whee' on the 1st Look Auction & in the auction in MN a couple weeks ago.
I didn't get it online, and didn't try at the national. Guess I'll have to hope that the
tc version is as good as the original.
I did get 'Luna Moth' from him earlier this year & the color is great. Have it planted
with a bunch of blues & it really stands out in its shaded spot. Just picked up 'Bobcat'
from Josh in DSM a couple days ago. Wolverine has always been a favorite of mine.
Pretty sure I got it from Hallson's about 7 yrs ago. And I lucked into 'Striped Weasel'
from Gary & Jack a couple of months ago. That one will be fun when it matures.
