Hostas of the day -'Tokudama Nebulosa' and 'Blue Shadows'
I'm going to combine 'Tokudama Nebulosa' and 'Blue Shadows' because they are related and because until this year I've never been able to tell them apart in my garden without looking at the markers. I acquired TA in spring 2003 and BS in spring 2004. Neither has been divided and they are slow growing indeed although both are doing better since I moved them further from my Linden tree where they get more light and moisture. I have always grown them near each other and this is the first year I've been able to say that BS seems to have more blue and is more cupped.
BTW, for all the daily hostas, I'm using pics taken in mid-July when you can begin to see the ravages of garden pests on the plants. I have not seen many slugs this year, but my plants seem holier than usual. I do believe earwigs are a big problem, especially on those with white or light centred leaves.

Re: Hostas of the day -'Tokudama Nebulosa' and 'Blue Shadows
I understand what you mean about these two being very similar. The coloration in my two photos makes them look very different, but that's because the Blue Shadows photo was taken in early June and the Tokudama photo was taken in late July. When you compare them at similar times of the year they look more alike.

A picture of the two of them take just a few days ago. They clearly look different, but in previous years I haven't been able to tell them apart.

Name: H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa' - 2008
Description: Cupped yellow leaves with a blue-green border.
Size: Small (20"w x 13"h)
Origin: Sport of H. 'Tokudama'
Flowers: near white in early July. scape has inflorescence leaves
Source: Budd Gardens
Added to garden: Spring 2003
Notes: 'Blue Shadows' is a sport. The title of this thread explains why I couldn't find 'Blue Shadows' and started a new thread. Best they are separate anyway. My TA wasn't doing well in 2011 and late in the season I lifted and divided it. There had been very little root growth since the last time it had been moved. In 2012, I grew all the divisions in my nursery bed and they seemed to vary widely in leaf size and how they did. This autumn, I've moved one of the divisions into a garden again.

Re: Hostas of the day -'Tokudama Nebulosa' and 'Blue Shadows
Everyone's pictures remind me why I bought those two hostas in the first place. My TN (bought in 2007) has been very slow to increase. I bought a bare root plant that had been growing in compost. I don't think I planted it properly, then moved it adding a second plant to the clump. It's just starting to amount to something. Thank God, it appears to be pest resistant. I don't have the same impression of Blue Shadows which I bought last year. It's raining outside, otherwise I'd go out and check. In my experience Tokudama Flavocircinalis is a faster grower.
Re: Hostas of the day -'Tokudama Nebulosa' and 'Blue Shadows
2014 - I divided mine up a couple of years ago and have been growing it at the back of my veggie garden. The largest and, I thought, strongest division I put into a new garden, but it only lasted one year before disappearing. One of the divisions in my veggie garden (the one at the back) is looking pretty good, but I'm not sure that I'm going to keep this one. Picture July 8, 2014.

2015 - June 21. This one is still at the back of my veggie garden. And it's still doing nothing exciting. What's left of it will be given away in the spring.

This one was looking very bright today. Actually this is one of three in a row.
