Ann, 'Independence' is out of 'Revolution', which is out of 'Loyalist', which is out of 'Patriot', which is out of 'Francee'. Phheww, lost you yet.....

Thanks Pieter, I had forgotten that Independence is a reverse sport of Revolution which is why it has the green flecks in the white margin.

Pieter - nope. You didn't lose me. I often look at the hosta family trees on the My Hostas database. Couldn't have done it last night, but it was faster to ask. So, both came from Francee though one took a more circuitous route to looking like it does now.

You can certainly tell they are related. Itw ill be interesting to see and compare them a few years down the line
when they reach a good clump size.

Here is an update on Frantic from the 2012 season:
