This mini is still in a pot. Will bury it in the garden over the winter.

Are you SURE that's 'Green Eyes'? The leaf looks to be quite a different shape.

It's the same one I showed last season. I think the leaves get wider as the season progresses - this is early in the season while last season's were from later in the season. The hosta library shows different shapes also. I will try to get an updated picture.

I wonder if your zone makes a difference? I've never seen much difference in the shape of my leaves.

Here is mine today - it is tiny but putting up a late scape. It's surrounded by Red Cardinal Flower weedlings.

I divided mine in half in 2013 to share with a friend; so it's not much larger than it was in 2012.

2015 - Aug. 13. This one was in a planter which I buried last winter and none of the plants did well. I've since pitched the container and this one has been struggling a bit this year. Am hoping it makes it through the winter and if not, at least I shared it last year.

Well, that struggling division from last year came back in 2016, but didn't last long. Late in the season, I was able to get a division back from my friend. This shows that division in September.

2017 - that division back from a friend grew well - Aug. 5.
