I hope it gets to Canada soon. But I often get it as much as a month later than you folks.

Hosta of the Day - Madison Mine

Post by redcrx »

I got my Journal on Monday. There was an article at the end about hosta names. Part of the article dealt with the name Madison being used for two different hostas. I have a green one that doesn't match the photo in the hosta library. Turns out the one I have is really Madison Mine and not Madison.

Well, you would know!!! I fell in love with 'Something Different' for 2 reasons: it is gorgeous and I have 'Something Else' (cause Lew used to say 'Rose Marie, you are Something Else' ) and I had to have that pretty gold Hosta. So yesterday I ordered I ordered 'Something Different'. (It never ends!) And Chris, do you have Rhino Hide or Proud Sentry? I can't pull up the Hosta list'( A Senior Moment?)

The MyHostas database lists this hosta as "medium". It seems "large" to me.
