I picked this up this summer - it didn't have much of a "blue" on it.
It is a cross of Breeder's Choice and Halcyon.

Dress Blues is beautiful in the spring ... it's also a pretty fast grower:

It's one of our favorites. Very tidy.
We got its reverse sport, 'Moonstruck', earlier this year. If it grows half as well as its parent, it will be a very nice hosta.

Unfortunately, I've found 'Moonstruck' to be a very fussy prima donna. I hope yours does better.

The colours of this hosta remind me of 'Frosted Dimples' which I have. Does anyone have both and if so, how do they compare in regard to substance and vigor?
Re: Hosta of the Day - Dress Blues
I have a picture of Frosted Dimples from the 2011 season.

Re: Hosta of the Day - Dress Blues
I never posted a pic of our Dress Blues. It looks great all season. It is also prone to deer munching, based on its location, but they didn't get but a bite or two this year before realizing that the spray we're using really tasted bad.
