I was working on photos of Rhino Hide today and noticed the flower petals had a "fuzzy" edge to them. I have seen this on Flame Violet (Episcia) where it's called a fringe or frill.
Anyone notice this?

Re: Fuzzy flower petals?
Did you notice the extreme thickness of the flower petals on Rhino Hide...thicker than any other hosta...?
Re: Fuzzy flower petals?
Hi Don, I never thought about it. So petal thinkness follows leaf thickness. Just never paid attention to it. Hmm, now that I think back I can see things like undulata with thin leaves have thin flower petals while Blue Mouse Ears with thicker leaves has a thicker petal and Rhino Hide would have the thickess petals.
