This plant was labeled Hosoba Iwa when I got it and it took a while to track what it is. Hopefully it will flower this coming season.

Re: Hosta of the Day - longipes f. sparsa
This one opened today. I think it is Hosoba Iwa. It didn't have a tag and my guess was wrong. It's out of Art Wrede's collection - he had many pots with a half label that said Hosoba Iwa but I thought they were seedling crosses of Hosoba Iwa with something else. They one above is, I beleive, one of those crosses even though the tag only said 'Hosoba Iwa'. In the topic "Seedling Flowers out of Art Wrede's Collection" I have posted flowers with the label 'Hosoba Iwa' again they are crosses. This plant matches the description for longipes sparsa which is also known as Hosoba Iwa.
