In the Hosta Library Tsugaru Komachi Fukurin and Fukurin Tsugaru Komachi have a picture of the same plant. Tsugaru Komachi Fukurin and Tsugaru Komachi have a picture in common but the write-up for Tsugaru Komachi says it is a streaky plant. In the archives, here, there is a picture of Tsugaru Komachi viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43212 that looks different from my Tsugaru Komachi Fukurin until I dug out all my photos and found a couple of early season photos that match the Tsugaru Komachi that was posted.
Zilis list Tsugaru Komachi Fukurin as a sport of Tsugaru Komachi.
I tracked a translation for the name - "Tsugaru" is a city in Aomori Prefecture; "Komachi" means a beauty or a belle; "Fukirin" is variegated margin.
