Hosta of the Day #2 - longipes f. latifolia

I have had longipes latifolia since 2012. It's growing in a pot. It'a a medium size upright plant.

A point of interest:

In the small write-up at the top of the Hosta Library pictures of longipes latifolia it says:
Average leaf size is 5", usually shiny on the back and top, and average 7-9 vein pairs.

But my photos show a white back.

On page 14 in the "species" information in the Hosta Library talking about rupifraga it mentions longipes latifolia as having
H. longipes var. latifolia (pictured
below) is larger in all respects, with
much larger, lighter green leaves
with more veins and (usually) a
white, glaucous coating on underside, longer
petioles, scapes and racemes, more and
darker flowers and has heavy stippling on
the petioles and not as dense on scapes (as

As usual with HostaLibrary info, have salt shaker at hand and don't expect mistakes to get corrected. I'm pretty sure ours has whitish backs. It's a very pretty hosta, another one that with a useful cultivar name might see some market share.
