I'm always happy to see this bloom. I think they're the darkest non-ventricosa flowers in our garden. And the plant is cute, too.
We had a brief hailstorm two weeks ago, so there's some damage. This bed is getting much more sun this summer after we took down a beech tree, but so far the plants are doing o.k.
