Ogon Tachi...post your pics and info

Post by irawon »

Hi! This was an impulse buy late summer of 2011 because I have a penchant for upright hostas. I plunked it in this spot which is protected from westerly winds that prevail in my gardens because OT has extremely tall scapes. I'm hoping someone has a picture of a mature clump to share.

Source of Info: Hansen Hostas
Source :Japan/Ruh
Description: Narrow upright golden leaves that change to green later, very tall petioles.
Flower: purple
Fragrant: No
Spot: half shade/shade
Size: large
Height 50 - 60 cm (20"- 24")
Growth: medium

Thanks Ann...I didn't expect it to get so big. It gets lots of sun, so it stays yellow all summer. I also placed it in a protected spot away from the westerly breeze in my yard because of the very tall scapes (taller than the picture shows as they kept growing). The sturdiness of the scapes and their erectness really surprised me too.

Ed, great shots of the open flowers.
