Almost is a Cinnamon Sticks seedling from Art Wrede. It has red coloring far up into the leaf on the front and back.

I bought my first Almost from Art at his Azalea Patch Nursery back in 2010. The plant grew well until it was attacked by roots from a nearby holly bush. You can see the bush in some of the following photos. I thought it far enough away from the holly but sadly my mistake. I hope the plant can recover in the 2015 season. I have a few others - one in the ground, in a trough and a pot.
Here is Almost in the 2011 season.

Almost during the 2012 season
Very early in the season This is actually a second one I have in the ground. I can tell because that is H. Tatsumaki on the right and no sign of the "killer" holly. This is my first one again.

And the last few from late in the 2012 season
And now going into the 2013 season
In these photos the plant looks great. The holly had been removed but the plant didn't come back very well in 2014.

Last few photos for late 2013
And a couple from 2014
This one showing the colorful bract And this last photo stumped me. The flower seems wrong - too much white on the petals.
This is from a potted Almost so it could be a normal variation but it could be one of Art's seedlings from Almost. The plant looks like Almost but I didn't bother to get photos. I'll have to pay more attention to it next season.

One of my Almost this season in a trough. It's way ahead of its "buddies" in that trough which are Chop Sticks and Grape Fizz.

Re: Hosta of the Day - Almost
I put this Almost in a basket last season to keep the roots safe. This one had been my best one but it keeps having problems. It's the one at the top of the topic.

Re: Hosta of the Day - Almost
Almost - growing in a pot in shade has the best color. I have one in a trough in sun that is lighter. I also have one in the ground that is barely alive - it never came back properly after the roots were invaded by an aggressive bush.
