Name: H. 'Grand Tiara'

Description: Leaves have dark green centres with wide glowing chartreuse edges. A plant of heavy substance.
Size: Small (24"w x 14"h)
Origin: sport of H. 'Golden Tiara' discovered at Virginia's Mobjack Nursery and first sold at the ‘92 hosta convention
Flowers: lavender flowers with purple stripes in July
Added to garden: July 2007

Notes: I fully divided this one in spring 2011. Sold off some of it in my hosta sale and planted the rest in a border. later in the season, I rethought the border idea and started grouping it together. May move it next year.

Sports solid divisions regularly (see Amber Tiara)

Is that common for others? Mine has never sported a solid division.

Last year I had completely divided this one and I planted it as a border. Later in the summer, I rethought it and replanted in closer groups. Most of the small divisions have now been put into a holding bed, but this is still a strangely shaped clump as a result. I'll shape it up next year.
