Daily Hosta #2 - 'My Claire' - add your pics

The second hosta today is 'My Claire', which I think is underrated as a hosta. I like mine a lot. Divided it last spring and replanted it in 3 groups.

BTW, I will be away from my computer for 2 days - making a very fast trip (Air Canada willing as the flight attendants are threatening to strike tomorrow) out west to inspect a 2-week-old granddaughter. So if someone wants to post hostas that I don't have during those two days, please go ahead.

This hosta is from Mr. Bob Hird, of Dubuque, Iowa. He belongs to my hosta club.
We had a picnic Saturday in the homes of one of the members, and I noticed that he
had a very nice 'My Claire', and it was in almost perfect shape at the end of a long,
hot, alternately too wet and too dry summer.
Thanks for sharing this one!
Oh, and enjoy every minute of that new baby inspection! Congratulations!

Wondering how we skipped N...

Nice looking hosta, though. This looks like a Peace that actually grows!

We skipped "N" because I'm doing MY hostas and the only one I have is "Nolan On Ice' - my own seedling of 'Outhouse Delight'. I'm doing registered cultivars only and only those that I have - I specialize in mini - medium hostas. Why don't you post a couple of "N" hostas while I'm away from the computer with the pics?

BTW, I'll be away for two weeks in Oct. starting the 3rd; so someone can fill in during those days - I suggest going back to cultivars which I don't have in the latter half of the alphabet.

This one continues to do well, but may get swamped by a growing 'Brother Stefan'. I may give some consideration to moving it. Photo July 16, 2014. BTW, as I post this on September 1, it is full of flower buds.

Interesting that it blooms so late. At first I thought it looked an awful lot like 'Aristocrat', but the longer leaves and the later bloom time make it more distinct.

It's smaller than 'Aristocrat'.

2015 - Aug. 13. Mine grew well this year, but will need to be moved to make more space for an encroaching 'Brother Stefan'. When I cut it back today - end of September, there was virtually no slug damage.
